Alwar (Rajasthani Pronunciation: [əlʋəɾ]) is a city located in India's National Capital Region and the administrative headquarters of Alwar District in the state of Rajasthan. It is located 150 km south of Delhi and 150 km north of Jaipur. At present the district is famous for production of Mustard Crop in the region, manufacturing of Ray Ban eyeglasses, Beer production plants and frozen food industry.

The Bhangarh Fort is a 16th-century fort built in the Rajasthan state of India.The town was established during the rule of Bhagwant Das as the residence of his second son, Madho Singh.The fort and its precincts are well preserved.

Bala Quila Fort

Bala Quila also known Alwar Fort is a fort in Alwar in Indian state of Rajasthan. It is situated on a hill in the Aravalli Range, above the town of Alwar.The fort is 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) long and is about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) wide. The fort was originally constructed by Nikumbh Rajputs in 928 CE. In 1492 Khanzada Alawal Khan won Bala Quila from Nikumbh Rajputs to stop practice of human sacrifice.

Siliserh Lake

Siliserh lake is situated 8 miles southwest of Alwar. It cover an area of about 7 (up to 10 square km with good monsoon) square km and are flanked by dense woodland and cenotaphs on its embankment.It was Built in 1845 by Maharaja Vinay Singh, the then-ruler of Alwar, by constructing an embankment/bund on tributary of river Ruparel. The lake and the aqueducts that surround it were built to provide water to Alwar. The lake is flanked by its namesake palace, which was built by the king for his wife.Palace is now converted to Rtdc hotel. Boating facility also available.
